it is about translation and reconfiguration. During the process from one state to another, many informations get lost and others will come to modify the preview condition.
An A6 flyer with all the programme of the exhibition space has been painted, scanned and printed in A4 size.
The resulting file has been used to make an 3d animation projected in A2 size.

They are 3d prints of the two temporal bones of the skull that host the auditory system.
They are also close to the temporal lobes, an area of the brain responsible for language which is activated in trading with other individuals and religious experiences such as prayer.

It is a collation of footage from a performance by Coil, which took place in Amsterdam in 2004. The psychedelic -even hypnotic- visual effects were already on the footage and very appropriate to John Balance’s almost shamanistic performance. For this piece I edited the original material considerably and retained only scenes in which Balance is visible.

Five soprano are singing only one pitch all together, when one of them needs to breath the others keep on singing by generating an endless sound. They are lined up behind a structure made out of wood and textile, a sort of naked screen which works as a membrane between them and the public.

I shot a detail of the sky during the twilight, from the moment in which the sun sets to the dark. Then I made a correction of blue in order to get the colour of the sunrise
and I reversed it. Now the cycle is closed, the video goes from the dark to the light and to the dark again, the ceiling line is its horizon.

It is the second of a trilogy of works in which I collaborated with Michiko Hirayama. The stretched voice of Michiko is sinchronized to the movement of a black square I have shot in the dark.
The square was part of a preview show, it is a piece of canvas hanged on the wall.

(excerpt)

It is the first of a trilogy of works in which I collaborated with Michiko Hirayama, she improvised for about 5 minutes the idea of twilight with her voice. I stretched the resulting sound until the duration of the twilight that I had previously filmed, from 5 to 15 minutes. The sound track is played in combination with the concrete sculpture and the video projection of the twilight.

when the music is rotten

broken speaker, lamps, red light, leather jacket, concrete, adhesive tape, acrylic paint

It is a sort of still-life.
The space is split in two parts, the public could enter only in the first part and look insite the second trough a glass.
On the floor a leather jacket I have found on the street, It was full of writtens and brush strokes.
The windows have been covered with black adhesive tape, then I made a 1:1 size print of each of them and they became an independent work.

(excerpt)

The exhibition space is located above a music store: in the ground floor there is the music store, in the first the library of the museum and in the second the exhibition space.  So I made two holes on the two floors of the museum, and I build a 9 m column made out of old speakers, then I recorded all the music listened by the clients of the shop and I got a 4h long sound track which has been played along the entire column.
